Vicar Tiews came up with a great idea to do a short promotional video to put on our web site as we are increasingly getting visitors who find out about Grace through it. In the course of his ministry at Tulsa University he met Austin Hines, a recent graduate who will begin a graduate degree at Texas A & M. He produces videos and such through his own business, FutureLight Studios. He met with us and filmed at Grace over a couple day period and produced this video along with several others. If anyone is interested in doing something similar, then I would highly recommend him.
On another note, the video demonstrates that while we are Stone Age cavemen, hopelessly antiquated and out-of-touch with reality by adhering to our sacramental confession and the liturgy, we are not Luddites.

I was hoping he was going to finish that soon! I got to see some of it in the works and I really liked what he had done with it. Let me just say that he burned the midnight oil and then some!
He’s moving out this weekend and will be missed!
By His grace and for His glory alone,

He did a great job. I told him he needs to up his fee… for the next congregation, of course!

Hello Pr. Beecroft– that was a great video; please pass on my compliments to its producers and all who participated. I learned of this video from BJS, and I too come from a neo-evangelical background. Presently I am finishing my vicarage in SoCal. It’s fascinating (and tragic) to see the changes in the last few decades in evangelical churches; setting aside for the moment their anti-sacramental nature, decisional theology and the like, one used to be able to count on them declaring man’s sin and that Christ is the Savior, but now for too many, Jesus is the CEO or the self-help expert. When I became a Lutheran, I explained to others who asked that in my old Baptist church what they gave you with the right hand was taken away by the left hand, but it looks like many neo-evangelical churches don’t even have the right hand of the Gospel anymore.

Hello Pr. Beecroft,
When are you going to set up a Church here in the Netherlands? We NEED one badly (there are no Lutheran Churches here) and after seeing your video, I want it too!!

Good job Mason!
But I have been meaning to tell you that I saw Batman: The Dark Knight awhile back and was shocked. Your voice and delivery bear an eerie resemblance to Heath Ledger’s performance. In this video I kept waiting for you to say, “Oh, you. You just couldn’t let me go, could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You are truly incorruptible, aren’t you? Huh? You won’t kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness. And I won’t kill you because you’re just too much fun. I think you and I are destined to do this forever.”

Hi Rev. Beecroft. I really enjoyed your video. Thanks.
I published a post to help WordPress.com bloggers display the Issues, Etc. widget entitled: How to Add an Issues, Etc.™ Widget to a WordPress.com Weblog.
Maybe it could be of some use. In any event, may God’s blessings be upon you.
